A glass life cast taken from a model. The models face was gently pressed into a bed of sand to make a mould & then molten glass was ladled in from a furnace.
The back surface is coated in aluminium giving the work metallic quality. If you look carefully you will see a glass hand gun embedded into the side of the cast & a metal key encapsulated inside the glass.
